Ariel Gail

Prof. Gail S. Goodman has been a distinguished psychologist since 1993. She is also the Director of the Center for Public Policy Research, University of California Davis. She is widely credited with beginning the current scientific study of children's eyewitness memory and child victimes as witness in court situations. Professor Goodman, who has numerous publications and many grants she is also the winner of a variety of international and national distinctions. She has advised many administrations and agencies across the world about policies and studies pertaining to the treatment of children victims in the justice system. She has been a consultant with the Special Assault Forensic Evaluation Center which was previously known as known as the Multidisciplinary Interview Center of Sacramento County Child Protective Services. She has memberships with numerous professional organizations, like the Association for Psychological Science and American Psychological Association. Prof. Goodman is a fellow of the Psychonomics Society Society for Research in Child Development American Professional Society on the Abuse of Children and also the International Society for Traumatic Stress Studies. She was President of the American Psychological Association Divisions for Child and Family Policy as well as Practice Division American Psychology Law Society and Division Developmental Psychology.
