Anoushka Shankar

Anoushka is a British-American musician and sitarist. She received the British House of Commons' Shield in the year of her youngest and the first female to receive it. Apart from the nine Grammy awards, she was also the first Indian-born musician to be a presenter and performer in the live ceremony. Anoushka is a emerging star of Indian sitar. She is a student and sister of Ravi Shankar. Born in 1982, she was raised in London. Her childhood years were spent between London in London and New Delhi. As a teenager the first time she performed in New Delhi took place. Then she relocated to Encinitas CA where she graduated from High School with honours in 1999. Anouskha is still pursuing a successful career in recording and performing despite being young. She regularly accompanies her father in performances this she's done for quite a few years. She released her debut self-titled album Anourag in the year 1998. She released the album Live At Carnegie Hall, a Grammy-nominated album two years after. In addition to performing in all of the largest venues and venues, she also has an extensive stage presence. Anoushka isn't just a performer. Bapi The love of My Live is her 2002 book, which was a tribute Ravi Shankar. In 2003, she starred as a character in Dance Like a Man as an actress and Bharat Natyam performer. Anoushka Shakar's professional career will continue to grow and expand. We can look at seeing lots of new things from her. Anoushka Shankar was born in England and spent a lot of her childhood in London and Delhi after which she moved to California where she went to high school. In Delhi during his birthday celebrations for his 75th birthday, Anoushka made her debut performing the sitar in front of the audience four years following her nine-year-old father. Accompanying her father as his world tour, Anoushka racked up a wealth of experiences appearing on stage at Carnegie Hall while still in her teens, performing in Peter Gabriel's WOMAD festival, and also making recordings alongside George Harrison. It is the House of Commons Shield was presented in her honor by the British Parliament as the pre-eminent Asian Arts musician. She is the only woman and is the smallest recipient of the distinction.
